Pushing Daisies (DevLog 3)
Devlog 3- 3/23/2024
Didn't make as much progress as I wanted but created a sprite sheet for the first insect in the game, a monarch butterfly. Created s sprite for when the butterfly is at rest and a bunch of separated parts for when it is maneuverable. I was also able to get the resting butterfly to drag when the mouse is clicked and plan to make it snap in place and transition to a new scene in order to do the pinning. I am thinking that when the collision box of the butterfly meets the collision of the area put onto the desktop, the sprite's position will be changed automatically, and a new scene will appear with the maneuverable sprite and the tools need to pin. Then I need to work on making the parts rotatable on an axis.
For both the normal butterfly and the maneuverable one I need to configure the code to only work once in the area of the part. Once I can get these pieces working I will have a great base for the game and will have the integral pieces together, so I can start creating more art assets and possibly a small tech demo of the insect pinning portion.
Pushing Daisies
An upcoming business management game where you have an unhealthy obsession with dead things.
